Net-Breaking Blessings: Embracing Obedience and Faith
Net-Breaking Blessings
Friends, I am so excited to be here with you today to talk about the incredible topic of net-breaking blessings! Sometimes God calls us to do hard things that may seem impossible naturally. But the truth is, when we obey God and step out in faith, we position ourselves for His net-breaking blessings that exceed our wildest expectations.
Launching into the Deep:
In the Gospel of Luke, we read about a remarkable encounter between Jesus and Peter, a seasoned fisherman. After an entire night of unsuccessful fishing, Jesus told Peter to launch into the deep waters again. Now, imagine Peter’s thoughts – he was tired, frustrated, and probably thinking, “This is pointless, it’s the wrong time to fish!” Yet, he chose to obey Jesus’ word, saying, “Nevertheless, at Your word, I will let down the net” (Luke 5:5, NKJV).
David and Goliath In the Bible:
In 1 Samuel 17:45-47 – “Then David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied… that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.'”
We see another incredible example of net-breaking obedience in the story of David and Goliath. David, a young shepherd boy, faced a giant that terrified even seasoned soldiers. But David knew something they didn’t – he knew that all things are possible with God. His obedience and faith in God empowered him to step into the impossible, defeating Goliath and experiencing God’s net-breaking victory.
Abundant Provision through Obedience:
When Peter obeyed Jesus and let down the net, he witnessed a miraculous catch of fish that filled his nets to the breaking point! God’s unexpected provision overflowed in response to Peter’s obedience. This reminds us that net-breaking blessings come when we trust God and follow His leading, even when it doesn’t make sense in our human understanding.
The Widow’s Oil In the Old Testament
In the Bible, we find the story of a widow who faced dire circumstances, debt, and desperation. However, when she obeyed the prophet, Elisha, her faith was rewarded with God’s net-breaking provision. God multiplied her meager jar of oil, enabling her to pay off her debts and have enough to sustain her family. In 2 Kings 4:1-7 – “Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, ‘Bring me another vessel.’ And he said to her, ‘There is not another vessel.’ So the oil ceased.” Meaning as long as she has vessels for the oil, it continued.
Embracing the Challenge:
To experience net-breaking blessings, we must overcome the doubt and fear often accompanying stepping into the unknown. We must break free from self-limiting beliefs and trust God’s plan. Remember, our limitations do not confine God’s net-breaking blessings; they are only limited by our faith and obedience.
Noah and the Ark
In Genesis 6:22 – “Thus Noah did; according to all that God commanded him, so he did.” Noah faced an enormous challenge when God instructed him to build an ark, warning of a flood covering the entire earth. It seemed impossible and illogical, but Noah chose to obey God, step out in faith, and build the ark. His obedience saved his family and became pivotal in God’s redemptive plan for humanity.
Overcoming Doubt and Fear:
As we consider net-breaking obedience, we naturally face doubts and fears. However, we must remember that net-breaking blessings await those who dare to believe and trust in God’s promises. When we let go of our insecurities and lean on God’s strength, we position ourselves for breakthroughs beyond our human limitations. Be in expectation and He will arrive in due time; and when He does arrive, be ready for a huge blessing beyond your understanding- we serve a great God!
The Fullness of Destiny:
Net-breaking obedience leads us to God’s best for our lives. We align with His divine plan as we enter the deep waters of faith and obedience. His net-breaking blessings propel us toward our destinies, where joy, favor, and victory await.
Why Pray.Chat
I want to tell you about myself and this website. When God put it in my heart to build this website, I resisted because, in my own thinking, I didn’t feel like doing it for one reason or the other. I kept asking why and there’s a thousand reasons not to do it. However, during the COVID-19 isolation in 2020, the thought returned to me, and then I took the step and set up the website. Today, many thousands of people write me to thank God for the website, and because of my obedience, many doors are opening for me and for many people around the world that I know are the doings of God. It is my faith that we have not even scratch the surface of His net-breaking blessings that will come through this place.
The Challenge of Net-Breaking Obedience:
Today, my friends, I encourage you to embrace the call to launch into the deep. Don’t let fear or uncertainty prevent you from experiencing God’s net-breaking blessings. Surrender to His will, step out in faith, and trust that He will bring you net-breaking provisions and fulfillments. Folks, even when you did your best and what you stepped into seem not to be working, remain in faith and steadfast in the Lord. Our God is faithful and will not be a minute late. There’s nothing He cannot do!
Conclusion:
As we conclude, I want to remind you that net-breaking blessings are not reserved for a select few; they are available to all who dare to obey God and step out in faith. When we embrace net-breaking obedience, we position ourselves for miracles, breakthroughs, and fulfillment of our God-given destinies. So, let’s dare to launch into the deep, for with God, all things are possible, and His net-breaking blessings await us!
Let Us Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the dreams and desires that You put in us, dreams that are bigger than we can achieve on our own. Help us to trust in Your promises and have the faith to obey, even when it’s hard. We believe that when we launch into the deep waters of faith, You will bring us net-breaking blessings. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Have a great week!
