Expecting God’s Goodness: Rekindling Your Faith and Dreams

Longing For God’s Goodness

Are you longing for God’s goodness in your life? Do you desire His favor and believe in rising higher to accomplish the dreams He has placed in your heart? Or have circumstances and disappointments caused you to suppress your faith, lower your expectations, and settle for less than God’s best? Today, let us explore the importance of maintaining high expectations and rekindling our faith, knowing that God meets us at the level of our expectations.
“Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore, he will rise up to show you compassion… Blessed are all who wait for him!” – Isaiah 30:18 (NIV)

Expect Something
The Power of Expectations:

Our expectations play a vital role in our walk with God. If we expect nothing, we will receive nothing. God desires us to have great expectations, as He has placed greatness within each of us. Mediocrity and settling for “good enough” are not our destinies; they should never be our expectations. Our Heavenly Father longs to exceed our greatest expectations and shower us with His goodness and favor.

Satisfying the Thirsty Soul:

Psalm 107 reminds us that God helps the thirsty soul with good things. It is essential not to fall into the trap of going through life without thirst, passion, or expectations, assuming that we have experienced our best days. Instead, we must rekindle our desire for more of God, start dreaming again, believe afresh, and regain hope. God is still on the throne, and miracles are set in motion when we thirst for Him. He will bring about things we could never accomplish on our own.
“For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.” – Psalm 107:9 (NIV)

The Doubting Soul vs. the Expectant Soul:

Our Heavenly Father responds to expectant souls rather than doubting ones. Doubt and negativity can hinder our faith and limit God’s work. However, when we approach Him with faith-filled expectations, we align ourselves with His promises and unleash His power within us. We must renew our minds, cast aside doubt, and cultivate a confident expectation of God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Rekindling Your Faith and Dreams:

To rekindle our faith and dreams, we need to reconnect with God in prayer and surrender our lives to Him. Through prayer, we acknowledge God’s sovereignty, confess our thirst for Him, and express our desire to see His greatness manifest in our lives. As we seek His presence, His grace empowers us to dream, believe, and hope again. Our Heavenly Father is the source of unlimited possibilities; all things are possible with Him.
“But Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'” – Matthew 19:26 (NIV)

In conclusion, God longs to shower His grace upon us and exceed our greatest expectations. We must never settle for mediocrity or let circumstances suppress our faith and dreams. Instead, we should cultivate a thirst for God, rekindle our expectations, and trust His ability to make the impossible possible. As we align our hearts with His promises, we open the door for miracles and divine interventions. Let us declare today that we will expect God’s goodness, rise higher, and accomplish the dreams He has placed within us. May our faith be rekindled and our expectations soar, for our Heavenly Father is faithful to those who wait upon Him.

Let us Pray

“Heavenly Father, we thank You for being the all-powerful God who longs to extend Your graciousness towards us. We acknowledge that You are the God of infinite grace, who always exceeds our greatest expectations. Today, we declare that we are thirsty for You to bring forth the greatness You have placed within us. Help us to renew our faith, dream again, believe again, and hope again. We trust in Your unwavering faithfulness and look forward to the miracles You will accomplish in our lives. We expect opportunities, favors, and God-sized blessings! In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.”
